WASHINGTON DC ROMANIANTIMES The Embassy of Romania inWashington D.C. hosted a reception to honor the RomanianArmed Forces Day 81 years ago, on 25 October 1944, the Romanian Army liberated the town of Carei in the North-West of the country. Since then, 25th of October has been a day of remembrance and gratitude, dedicated to the courage, sacrifice, and devotion of those who have served, and those who continue to serve, under the Romanian flag. As we celebrate the Romanian Armed Forces Day, we must remark the 28 years since the launching of our Strategic Partnership with the United States, which stands as a cornerstone of our national defense and foreign policy, alongside our NATO and EU memberships. The scope of cooperation between Romania and the United States is both broad and strategically profound.
