Conform noului act normativ adoptat de Parlament și promulgat în aceasta lună de
Președintele României, termenul de valabilitate a paşaportului simplu electronic a fost
extins de la 5 la 10 ani pentru persoanele care au împlinit vârsta de 18 ani. Valabilitatea
paşaportului simplu electronic va fi în continuare de 3 ani pentru cei care nu au împlinit
12 ani şi de 5 ani pentru cei cu vârsta cuprinsă între 12 şi 18 ani.
O altă modificare importantă este cea referitoare la pașapoartele temporare, cu valabilitate
de 1 an, care se vor elibera în cazul unei urgențe dovedite, într-un termen de doar 3 zile.
Astfel, paşapoartele simple temporare vor fi eliberate doar în condiţii stricte, din motive
de sănătate, familiale sau profesionale, pentru care trebuie aduse acte doveditoare care să
ateste urgenţa deplasării în străinătate.
Pentru această vară Ministerul de Interne a anunţat luarea unor măsuri de organizare a
activității, astfel încât să se evite aglomerația la ghișee, așa cum se întâmplă la fiecare
început de vacanță. Astfel, în București, într-unul din mall-urile din sectorul 3, va fi
deschis un centru nou pentru eliberarea pașapoartelor, a documentelor de călătorie sau a
permiselor de conducere și a certificatelor de înmatriculare.
