rezidenţă în Marea Britanie
Ministerul de Interne de la Londra a anunţat că 951.700 de cetăţeni din state membre
UE şi din Spaţiul Economic European au primit până la 31 iulie statut de rezidenţă în
Marea Britanie.
Brandon Lewis, secretar de stat pentru Securitate în Ministerul britanic de Interne, a
declarat că nivelul de un milion a fost atins în august.
Celemai multe solicitări au fost depuse de imigranţi polonezi (179.800). Pe locul următor
sunt românii (141.200 de cereri) şi italienii (121.600).
Ministerul britanic de Interne le transmite imigranţilor din ţările UE că pot depune cereri
pentru rezidenţă până pe 31 decembrie 2020 în situaţia în care Marea Britanie se va
retrage din Uniunea Europeană fără acord Brexit şi până pe 30 iunie 2021 dacăAcordul
Brexit va fi ratificat.
Statutul de rezidenţi poate fi obţinut de imigranţii din ţări UE care au locuit legal în
Marea Britanie cel puţin cinci ani până pe 30 decembrie 2020. “Cifrele sunt pozitive, iar
europenii mai au destul de mult timp pentru a depune cereri”, a declarat un purtător de
cuvânt al Ministerului britanic de Interne.
